Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries is a multicultural church. In fact, when you enter the sanctuary, you will notice the flag of every nation represented in our church lined up by the window.  The heartbeat of Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries is to reach all nations of the earth for Jesus. The Senior Pastor, Pastor Marcus Martinez, desires that every member of the church should pray for a heart for missions because each one of us is called to be an Ambassador for Jesus.      
 
For Pastor Marcus, a passion for missions came strongly when he fell in love with the Word in Ephesians 4:11-13;  "And He Himself (Jesus) gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." This scripture burned into his spirit and created a conviction in him to raise up a people who are willing to go to any length to answer the call of God on their lives.
     
He knows that he is called to advance the Kingdom of God and he will use all the resources available to him to achieve this end.  He has a great yearning to see the believers in North America come out of their passiveness and return to God. He no longer wants people just to come to church, but to serve the Lord according to the Word of God; thereby, fulfilling the plan and purpose that God has for their lives.
     
His first experience of a mission trip occurred in 2002, when he and some of the church members made a trip to Trinidad. It created a burning desire in him to see people come to know God and His Son Jesus Christ.  Though we are blessed to be living in North America, he believes, it is only when we go out to other nations that we are able to truly see and understand how fortunate we are.
 
The next mission trip was in 2006 to the Tri-city of Chandigarh , Mohali and Panchkula in India organised by Evangelist Asif Hassan. These cities are composed largely of Hindus.  Pastor Marcus was truly amazed at the way God’s favour was manifested; more than 10,000 people attended the crusades and many received Jesus as their personal Saviour and Lord.
