Music Ministry          
 


"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him." John 4:23
Destiny & Dominion Praise and Worship Warriors is the name given to the music ministry of Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries. The team includes the music director, the worship leader(s), the praise team, and musicians. This group is ever growing and is a vibrant, active and joyful ministry. It is a loving fellowship of like-minded, mature Christians. 
The emphasis and primary purpose of this ministry is Praise and Worship, as that is our calling – to worship God in spirit and in truth.

PURPOSE

To minister to God and His people in music and song, as priests and warriors.
To fellowship with other local bodies through praise & worship events.
To reach unbelievers through music outreaches.


ACTIVITIES
Regular rehearsals (Every Saturday evening 6-8 pm)
Weekly worship service(s)
Special church events (guest speakers, seminars, banquets, retreats, etc)
Ministry to other local bodies (P & W events, conferences, fundraising, etc)
Ministry to the sick and hurting (hospital, shelter, etc)
Ministry to unbelievers (concerts, CDs, summer festival, TV, etc)

 
REQUIREMENTS

Spiritually
To be a born-again believer of Jesus Christ.
To be water baptized.
To have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
To be a member of Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries for at least 3 months.
To be a worshipper and a person of prayer, both in personal walk and in corporate engagement and to live a life-style of worship and reverence for the things of God.

Musically

To sing in tune, with or without accompaniment.
To be able to harmonize by ear or to be able to learn a given harmony (above or under)
To be rhythmically accurate.
To play with ease and to demonstrate sufficient command on the instrument.
To read music and/or chords at a satisfactory level.
To display a desire to learn, to improve and to excel.
